The turning drum is a small drum, both sides are covered with goat skin. On the frame are two balls fixed with strings. If you turn the drum on the handle the balls beat on the drum skins.

It need a little bit patience to keep the drum in regular playing. Turned with one hand or between two hands it is a challenge for small children from 4 years.
