Punteira is the spanish name of the chanter of the Gaita, the spanish bagpipe.
With a wind-cap on the reed you can play the punteira like a shawm or rauschpfeife.
These instruments are made in high quality and exactly tuned like the Gaitas. With the very thin reeds they are playing easily.
The fingering is the same as at the Gaita and similar to a six-hole-flute like Tin whsitle. It plays a none in the scale plus the basenote.
The Punteira is in Do, made from Akoga (similar Bubinga), sometimes also from other wood, and inclusive the wind-cap and a reed. Also it comes with a bag and a fingering.
